Looking Back on 2011 and Forward to 2012
It’s another year and I guess I should be writing the usual year end post. Last year I did one, I didn’t so much make any goals to be checking up on. But I can kinda continue from where that left off… This year I had some fun trips… Palm Springs for White Party, to San Diego for Pride in July , to NH to become a godmother in August & a few staycations of SF Pride in June and Folsom weekend in September. I have some more fun trips planned this next year..maybe Palm Springs again, definitely Florida, and San Diego. But speaking of that trip to NH, the most important thing that happened this past year was my niece Lana being born in April – meeting her, me becoming an aunt and a godmother in one! That will definitely mark 2011 as special for all time! Some things didn’t work out…in 2010 I started a food blog, which I let fall by the wayside because I realized it just wasn’t that fun to me. Other things did though, because I moved this main blog you’re reading to a self-hosted wordpress blog, from blogger. Another fun accomplishment this year was that my best friend started his club Chaos in September, and I’ve been super excited to be involved in that project, as well as his career, as I’ve always wanted to be part of running a club. Although I’m no dj like him, music is definitely a very big part of my life! For 2012, it’ll be better than ever, and something fun to look forward to every month! Another new project slated for 2012 is helping my mother and aunt set up an etsy store, a variant on something we’ve talked about doing since I was about 12 years old. Hopefully by this time next year, it’ll be flourishing! I’ve even inadvertently become more healthy over 2011… In 2010, I gave up high fructose corn syrup, but in 2011, I’ve mostly stopped eating sugar, pretty much on accident. That, and of course finding new fun ways to work out, which I love, have kept me feeling better each year! All in all, 2011 was a good year and 2012 should be too. I’m still not super happy with being a cube drone, but hopefully between my other projects and my nice coworkers, I’ll get over it. I’m still happily single. My house still looks like a dorm, but no one’s perfect. I’m looking forward to spending 2012 with you, my (possible) readers, or at least talking to myself on this blog. Lol. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy New Year Merri!
Thanks you too!
